The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a global organization with more than 156,000 members in more than 143 countries. Founded in 1957, it aims to advance the oil and gas industry by promoting the sharing of technical knowledge, advancing exploration and energy management practices, and offering professional development opportunities to its members. 

Through various initiatives, the SPE provides more successful careers and business opportunities for those who work in all areas of the oil and gas industry.

Curriculum Overview

SPE members have access to numerous resources and opportunities to develop their technical and professional skills. They can attend conferences, workshops, seminars and other events that allow them to learn the latest trends and technologies in the oil and gas industry.

Academic Missions

Explore and learn about technological advances and exploration conditions in the oil industry

Congresses and conferences

attend workshops, talks and exhibitions where topics about the oil and gas industry are discussed. They can also give presentations and share results of their university work.

Volunteering

Work together with the organization in social events that help to improve some social vulnerability by feeding local ecological networks joining other local agencies or institutions.
